The MADD Illinois State office, is currently seeking candidates for the part time positions of COURT MONITORING PROJECT SPECIALIST in the following locations: Rockford, East St. Louis & Cook County.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the overall collection/reporting of case data to MADD’s National Court Monitoring Program Manager. Responsible for building/maintaining volunteer court monitor program.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Build/maintain a solid volunteer base
- Recruit/oversee/train/support volunteer court monitors for proper data collection.
- Collect/compile/report data on a monthly basis to the National Court Monitoring Program Manager.
- Build coalitions with local agencies/entities.
- Regular communications with National Court Monitoring Manager.
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years equivalent professional experience; Legal background preferred.
- Solid understanding of court system, courtroom procedures and familiarity with laws.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Effective networking ability
- Must be able to travel and maintain a flexible schedule.
