MADD is the premiere organization working to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. MADD is a 501(c) 3 charity with approximately 600 affiliates and 2 million members and supporters nationwide. More than 300,000 lives have been saved since MADD was founded in 1980.
The MADD Kansas City, MO office, is currently seeking candidates for the position of Regional Executive Director.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for the development, management and implementation of all initiatives necessary to deliver services to victims, provide appropriate funding to deliver the services and promote the mission of MADD throughout the assigned region. Manage/develop regional staff and volunteers.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify and procure sources of funding necessary to maintain and advance the operation of MADD’s mission within the region.
• Manage internal/external employees and volunteers to ensure that victim’s services are met efficiently, timely and professionally.
• Proactively promote MADD’s mission and initiatives through use of appropriate media and outside organizations/contacts.
• Work closely with other branches of MADD to jointly and strategically meet organizational goals, objectives and projects.
• Ensure compliance of MADD’s policies, procedures and regulations within region.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
•5+ years progressive management experience, in a non-profit environment.
•Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Excellent public speaking ability and public presence a must.
•Ability to effectively network at all levels.
•Proven fund-raising ability.
•Travel required. Flexibility of schedule a must.
•High degree of confidentiality and ethicality.
