Ignition Interlock Legislative Success
Legislative progress is a fundamental key to the success of MADD’s Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving. Several states have made substantial strides in the use of alcohol ignition interlocks for convicted drunk drivers and several more are considering similar legislation this year. MADD applauds the states that have taken legislative action to help prevent future victims of drunk driving and urges all lawmakers to consider enacting ignition interlock requirements for all convicted drunk drivers.
