Program Specialist 53-13
Develop and design programs in accordance to grant specifications and track results for reporting measurable achievements and results. Direct, organize and implement all aspects and technical portions of core and supplemental and/or grant funded drunk driving prevention programs for targeted populations at the State and Local level. Responsible for all program and/or grant administration including regular liaison and reporting, achievement of established performance objectives, development of programs to achieve objectives and adherence to all program an/or grant policies and guidelines.
Part Time Court Monitoring Specialist 51-13
Responsible for the overall collection/reporting of case data to MADD’s National Court Monitoring Program Manager. Responsible for building/maintaining volunteer court monitor program. This program supports the long-range goal to reduce the number of alcohol related traffic fatalities in Tennnessee. This program will aid in this reduction by increasing convictions and severity of sentences while also reducing the rate of dismissals of cases. This will reduce DUI recidivism and help the public see that our judical system takes the crime of DUI very seriously. Fewer incidences of DUI will lead to a reduction in the number of alcohol related fatalities.
A Court Monitor Specialist is responsible for attending DUI court cases and collecting information that can be used to recommend constructive improvements to our judicial system.
