Colleen Sheehey
She brings to MADD and the National Board the same spirit that has marked her career in business. Innovative, resourceful and inventive with an unusual ability to identify opportunities and consistently achieve goals and objectives, Sheehey has worked as a sales and marketing professional for more than 30 years. Sheehey currently serves as Director of Solutions with Allen Communication Learning Services, providing award winning corporate training and design solutions for many of the top companies in the world. Prior to that, Sheehey was employed by FranklinCovey, a highly regarded company that provides training in leadership, productivity and assessment services for individuals and corporations around the world. During her sixteen years at Franklin, Sheehey served as Manhattan Team Leader and as a Senior Client Partner in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Upstate NY at various times. In the community, Sheehey has served as Public Policy Liaison and Speaker for Mothers Against Drunk Driving; as co-founder, vice president and board member of Dustin’s Place, a summer camp for children; as Commissioner of Sponsor Relations for the Special Olympics World Games; inducted into the Special Olympics Shriver Society; as Chairman of Women’s Ministry at Christ Chapel; as a member of the Madison Connecticut Arts Barn Board of Directors; as a member of the Society of Human Resource & Development (Metro NY & Westchester County, NY); and as Vice President of Programs for ASTD (American Society of Training & Development in Connecticut). |


Colleen Sheehey comes to the Board of Directors for Mothers Against Drunk Driving as a successful businesswoman and a victim. On July 10, 2004, her son Dustin was killed by a drunk driver. Since that time, Sheehey has been a devoted speaker for MADD at Victim Impact Panels and in high schools. In addition, she has served with her husband Skip to push for stronger drunk driving laws in Connecticut.
