Victim Services

Victim Services

MADD offers direct victim services to victims/survivors of impaired driving crashes.  MADD's Victim Advocates provide emotional support, guidance through the justice systems, and information and referrals.  Many victims/surviors of impaired driving crashes have had their lives turned upside down and they often need support.  MADD is just a phone call away for those in need of this support.  MADD's services are for all of those victimized by the crime of impaired driving, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age, or relationship with the victim.  All of our victim services are offered at no cost.

How MADD Can Help

  • A MADD Victim Advocate can offer you emotional support and information by phone or in person.  Many of our advocates have themselves experienced the tragedy of an impaired driving crash.
  • MADD provides a wide selection of free literature, available in English and Spanish, for victims/survivors of crashes.
  • If you need financial assistance MADD Victim Advocates can help you with referrals for funds such as Crime Victims' Compensation.
  • Your advocate may provide a list of professional counselors and clergy skilled in working with crash victims/survivors.  They may also be able to refer you to a list of civil attorneys skilled in handling wrongful death and personal injury cases.
  • MADD Southern Arizona offers victim support groups where you can meet other individual and families who share similar experiences.
  • Your advocate can tell you how to obtain the crash report and offender's driving record.
  • Your advocate can inform you about the drunk driving laws and victim rights in your state.
  • MADD Victim Advocates can assist you in preparing a Victim Impact Statement to present at the sentencing of the offender.
  • MADD Advocates can also accompany you to court to offer emotional support and provide information about legal procedures.

MADD Southern Arizona has two victim advocates, Theresa Ulibarri (theresa.ulibarri@madd.org) and Jessica Delfs (jessica.delfs@madd.org ).

MADD Southern Arizona Support Groups

Our monthly support groups are held in the office at 2221 E Broadway, Suite 200 in Tucson. These groups are open to all victims of drunk driving and provide a time for victims to come together and talk about their struggles, questions and triumphs with each other.  Below are the dates for upcoming support groups.  All groups take place from 10am-Noon on Saturday mornings.  RSVP for each group is requested for seating purposes.  Please contact Jessica at (520) 322-5253 or jessica.delfs@madd.org to RSVP or to be added to a monthly reminder list.
