  • Community / Church groups (occasional evening or weekend day - 1 hour)

INFORMATION BOOTHS:
MADD volunteers attend health and safety fairs to provide the public with anti-DUI education, educational literature and to answer questions.  MADD’s Speakers Bureau Training Program is also required.

  • Staff a table at a health and safety fair (occasional weekend / weekday - 2-4 hours)

OFFICE ASSISTANCE:
MADD is a volunteer-based organization.  Office assistance is needed to help support our programs.  We need volunteers who are willing to answer phones, help with mailing our education and victim assistance information packets, computer data entry and correspondence.

  • Answer phones / assist with mailings (occasional weekday - 2-4 hours)
  • Computer data entry and correspondence (occasional weekday - 2-4 hours)

project  on youth education,  fundraising or to help prepare and mail newsletters, etc.

VICTIM ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:
Victim Advocates work with victims of DUI.  MADD attends court with families who have lost a loved one or who have suffered injuries because someone chose to drive under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.  Advocates also provide emotional support and act as a liaison for victims with law enforcement and prosecutors.  A training program will be provided.  Daytime hours and reliable transportation is required.  Due to the training involved, a one-year commitment is a must!

FUNDRAISING:
MADD, Los Angeles must raise the funds needed to provide all of our free programs and services offered throughout Los Angeles County.  We are a 501c3 charity organization who depends on private and corporate donations to keep our doors open to the public.  If you would like to become involved in our annual fundraising events , please call us - we really need you!
