2005 Holiday DUI Task Force

Last year in Florida, between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve 55 people were killed due to drinking and driving.  MADD wants to bring that number down to zero. 

MADD met with police agencies in November and proposed a multi-agency DUI squad for the holiday season.  Together we came up with an efficient, proactive plan of action utilizing resources of the larger AND smaller police agencies.  

MADD thanks those agencies who have embraced this precedent-setting initiative.  Never before has Miami-Dade County had a multi-agency DUI squad.   We hope to repeat this effort in the future.
