This is very important to our youth, we need your help in stopping this bill
Senate bill 1351 is making its way through the senate. This bill would lawfully allow places like the “Big Easy” to let anyone under 21 to be in the same location where alcohol is served to anyone over 21 yr olds. Even with policies in place the ability to monitor & enforce who is drinking and who isn’t is nearly impossible. With the near death of a young college student who was involved in a crash with someone under 21 who was served alcohol at one of their local concerts you would think that the venues would consider safety over money. This crash did result in a law suit against the Big Easy which left the victim with a traumatic brain injury as well as other injuries. We are asking you to please review this proposed legislation & contact the senators on the Senate State Affairs committee. You can do it either through an email or leave a phone message. If you go to the On the left side of the page there is even a section on how to contact your legislators and you can bring up the Senate State Affairs. Then Highlight their name and there is a form for you to leave them an email. It makes a huge difference if they receive several emails because you are constituents and they will pay attention to voters. Please pass on this email to anyone you think would be interested in stopping Senate bill 1351. We need to protect our Children from outside influences! If you have any questions you can call our office at 853-3700. Thank you for taking the time to read this and follow through.
