- Representing MADD by being present and distributing literature and materials at various events such as health and safety fairs or town festivals.

- Becoming a speaker (usually a volunteer who has personal experience with DUI crashes), who educates in the schools, or in public forums such as Victim Impact Panels, about the realities and effects of drunk driving crashes.

- Becoming a victim advocate who helps others through the difficult period after a drunk driving crash.

- Organizing various events and programs such as our Poster/Essay Contest for school kids, a Law Enforcement Appreciation banquet or our "Tie One On For Safety" red ribbon distribution over the holiday season.

- Giving much needed assistance for programs such as preparing and distributing informational materials to schools, hospitals or libraries.

- Distributing red ribbons to public places and police stations.

- Preparing or compiling articles for newsletters.

- Creating and nurturing contacts in the media, government and administrative groups and business community and representing MADD and our mission to these groups.

- Organizing and staffing fundraising events.

- Court monitoring to observe the DWI/DUI criminal justice system and create accountability.
