There is no such thing as a drunk driving "accident". It is a collision that follows the crime of drinking and driving. "How can you have a public health crisis (drunk driving) that is this large, this continuing, this pervasive, and not have the sense of outrage that we're sick and tired of it and we're not going to put up with it anymore?" ~ Jeffrey W. Runge, NHTSA, Washington Post June 30, 2003 WHAT CAN YOU DO?
For My Sister There is a place few have found One is my sister, who's heaven bound The cuts on her face shown so much pain But where she is won't be thought of again The real victims aren't hard to find My life now surreal and memories fill my mind You can't spot me that easy 'cause I wear my disguise so well From the pain I bring home to dwell You can't know what I'm feeling 'cause the pain runs too deep And only wet pillows show you were I sleep Memories I can't ever have to tell Because one man decided I should live in hell I'll never ride passenger with my sister at the wheel I have no sister to cry with when my heart a boy will steal No best woman at my wedding day Only a grave where my sister lay No child of my sister's will I ever see Once I had a sister, now it's only me In this mental jail I live in each day Wondering why a stranger took so much away If you ever wanted toknow what it's like, look into my eyes and you'll see an empty soul For the loss of a sister, that a careless man stole. ~Alaura Celentano
