Events Walk like MADD Let's ELIMINATE Drunk Driving Come and join in our 3rd annual 5K walk Saturday, May 2, 2009 9:00am Federal Hill Park overlooking Baltimore's Inner Harbor 701 Battery Avenue Our hope is that you will join MADD with your families to celebrate life on this special day ~ The walk will be a culminating activity for the end of National Crime Victim's Rights Week, and an early celebration of Mother's Day. There will be a moon bounce, clown, art projects and games for the kids; horse and motorcycle mounted police; live music to dance to; and toys and treats for your dog. Something for Everyone! ~ Maryland Remembers ~ at the Miller Stenate Building President's Conference Center West Wednesday December 10, 2008 11:00am to 1:00pm The 2008 "Maryland Remembers" is a commemorative ceremony to honor the life and spirit of loved ones lost in impaired driving crashes while simultaneously serving as the culmination of Maryland's 2008 Checkpoint Strikeforce caampaign and reminds Maryland drivers to plan ahead and to drive safe and sober during this State's most deadly time of year when it comes to drunk driving (Thanksgiving to New Year's Day). There will be free parking at the Naval Acdemy, Lot 5, please mention your attendence at the "Maryland Remembers" event to the attendant to receive complimentary parking. There will also be free shuttle service from the Naval Academy parking lot to the Miller Senate Building and it will run continuously from 9:45am to 11:15am and then resume at 12:15pm and run until 1:30pm to the Naval Academy parking lot. Victim families are encouraged to bring framed ppictures of their loved ones for the annual presentation of pictures ceremony.
