Victim Witness Services in Anne Arundel County


If you are a victim of crime, you have certain rights that are assured to you.  The State's Attorney in Anne Arundel County is Frank R. Weathersbee.  The telephone number is 410-222-1740 Monday through Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.  The office is located at: 7 Church Circle, Suite 200, Annapolis, MD 21401.  Their website is www.statesattorney.annearundel.com*The night before the trial, call 410-222-1160 anytime AFTER 5:00pm on the evening before the trial.  A recorded message will list the status of cases for the next day, and will let you know if the case has been postponed.

The Victim-Witness Service will provide the following basic services:         

  • up-to-date case information
  • explanation of legal terminology and court proceedures
  • referrals to community resources
  • court preparation and accompaniment
  • help with preparing injury compensation forms and Victim Impact Statements
  • restitution information
  • help with employer-related problems
  • community education
