How often are the Victim Impact Panel classes held?

In Albuquerque , they are typically held the last Thursday of every month.  Please refer to the schedule below for the exact date. 

If you are not located in Albuquerque and need to attend a panel, the only other panels are held in Valencia County or in El Paso , Texas .  Please refer to the schedule below for those dates and times. 

What time are the Victim Impact Panels? 

There are two class times.  One begins at 6:00 pm in which you need to arrive at 5:30 pm for check-in; the other is at 7:30 pm in which you need to arrive at 7:15 pm for check-in.  You may attend either one of these classes.  

Do I need to call and pre-register?

No.  There is no need to pre-register for these panel classes.  You register on the day you attend the class. 

How much is the Victim Impact Panel?

The cost is $35.  Payment is accepted in cashier’s check or money order only.  No cash or personal checks will be accepted. 

If you have had to reschedule this class through metro court, an additional $25 should be added to the $35 fee.

Where is the Victim Impact Panel held?

The panel is not held at the MADD State Office.

It is held at the UNM Continuing Education Building located at 1634 University Blvd. NE.   The closest major cross street is Indian School Road . 

• From 1-40 Eastbound – take the University exit.  Turn right on University and travel approximately ½ mile.  The UNM Continuing Education Building is located on the East side of University before you get to Indian School Road  .   
• From 1-40 Westbound – take the University/Menaul exit.  Turn left on University and approximately ½   mile.  The UNM Continuing Education Building is located on the East side of University before you get to Indian School Road  .   
• From 1-25 Northbound – take the Lomas exit.  Travel East on Lomas to University.  Turn left on University and travel approximately 1.5 miles just past Indian School Road  .  The UNM Continuing Education Building is located on the East side of University. 
• From 1-25 Southbound – take the Lomas exit.  Turn left on Lomas to University.  Turn left on University and travel approximately 1.5 miles just past Indian School Road  .  The UNM Continuing Education Building is located on the East side of University. 

Can my friend attend the panel with me and does he/she have to pay?

If you have a parent, spouse or friend that would like to attend with you, they will not be charged a fee. 

How long does the Panel class last?

The Victim Impact Panel lasts approximately one hour. 

Do I need to bring any type of paperwork with me?

Please bring a picture ID.  If you received paperwork from court, bring that information with you otherwise you do not need any type of paperwork.  You will be issued a receipt upon registration.

2008 Victim Impact Panel Schedule - El Paso (MADD West Texas)

VIP (Victim Impact Panel):  from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in our office.  Must bring a $25.00 money order , case number and probation officer's name.
