MADD Programs
MADD's National Programs Department specializes in developing and maintaining public awareness programs at the chapter, state, and national level, involving the community as a whole in supporting MADD's mission. The department continually looks for new ways for MADD to reach a diverse population, with particular attention focused on helping youth.

Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving: The Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving kicked off in November 2006 with the goal of eliminating drunk driving permanently. The Campaign has four essential elements:

Mandatory ignition interlocks for ALL convicted drunk drivers
Increased law enforcement efforts including crackdowns during holiday weekends, sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols
Advanced vehicle technology that would make it impossible for a drunk person to start a vehicle
Public support ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ led by you and other concerned citizens nationwide

Adult Awareness

Programs, such as MADD's 'Tie One On For Safety' ribbon campaign and 'Designate a Driver,' designed to raise the public consciousness about drinking and driving.

MADD has a variety of programs to empower young people and help reduce underage drinking -- America's # 1 drug problem.

Enforcement Programs

Powerful partnerships with law enforcement to help ensure that life-saving laws are adequately enforced.
