What MADD Does

Mothers Against Drunk Driving is an organization of victims and non-victims, trying to make a difference in the fight against drunk driving.  MADD is determined to carry out its mission to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking.

MADD offers direct victim services to victims/survivors of impaired driving crashes.  MADD's Victim Advocates provide emotional support, guidance through the justice systems, and information and referrals.  Many victims/survivors of impaired driving crashes have had their lives turned upside down and they often need support.

MADD is just a phone call away for those in need of support.

MADD's services are for all of those victimized by the crime of impaired driving, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age, or relationship with the victim.  All of our services are free.

Available services may include:

  • Literature to help you cope emotionally and to guide you through the criminal and/or civil justice system
  • Information about impaired driving laws and victim rights in your state
  • Introduction to other people who share a similar victimization experience
  • Court-accompaniment
  • Victim Support Group - please call for information
  • Information and assistance in applying for Crime Victim Compensation benefits to cover expenses related to the crash
  • Referrals for professional counseling if needed
  • Information and referrals for civil attorneys if needed
