Onslow/Pender MADD Community Action Site is seeking volunteers to assist with school/organization speaking engagements, court monitoring, THINK Prom and Sobriety Checkpoint programs. The time required is flexible. If interested in any of the programs, please contact Sharon Brookins.

DWI Checkpoint
Sharon,
I would like to thank you and your MADD team for your support with our DWI checkpoint. It was a great success.Unfortunately, we were kept busy with DWI's.
Just for your information our stats were as follows:
5-DWI's, 2 of them also charged with under 21 DWI, 2-open container charges, 9-Possessing alcohol while less than 21 yrs old, 1-Aid and Abet Possessing alcohol less than 21 yrs old, 7-No Operators License(NOL), 1-Aid and Abet NOL, 1-Driving While License Revoked, 1-Child Safety Seat Violation, 3-Expired Registration, 4-Expired Inspection Stickers, 2-Possession of Marijuana, 1-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
We also issued numerous warning tickets for minor violations.
I am also requesting that you add the following businesses to the MADD website showing our appreciation. They all donated food. (See A Special Thank You..at the left)
