Victim Services offered by MADD Southwestern Ohio

    Victims of drunk driving can contact our office with questions or assistance. Some of the services for victims offered by MADD Southwestern Ohio include:

  • Court accompaniment for court proceedings. Serve as liason between victims and court systems.
  • Provide support and assistance
  • Literature to help guide you emotionally and assist you through the criminal justice system         
  • Information about Ohio's drunk driving and victim rights laws         
  • Victim Impact Statements information and preparation assistance         
  • Information regarding applying for Crime Victim Compensation benefits to cover expenses related to the crash         
  • A list of local professional counselors and attorneys who work with victims of crashes

    Victims may submit or renew their membership to MADD Southwestern Ohio online with our easy to fill in Victim Membership form .

Victim Impact Panels:

    MADD Southwestern Ohio is involved in conducting Victim Impact Panels in our coverage area. VIPs are set up to help show drunk driving offenders, who have been ordered to attend by the court, the consequences of drunk driving. MADD receives a fee for our participation. If you are a victim of drunk driving and would like more information on how you could become involved in VIPs, please contact our office at (513) 769-6800 or toll free at 1-877-721-6233.

2009 Victim Impact Panel Schedule

March 2, 2009 ~ May 4, 2009 ~ July 13, 2009 ~ November 2, 2009

The panels are held at the Montgomery County Courthouse, 41 N. Perry Street, Dayton, Ohio 45422 at 6:00 PM.  To register to attend please contact our office at 513.769.6800.

Victim Support Groups:

MADD's weekly cyber support group for victims of drunk
driving crashes meets online every Monday at 8:00 p.m.
(7:00 p.m. CST) and every Thursday at 9:30 p.m.
(8:30 p.m. CST) in a chat format with a professional
moderator at
Compassionate Friends meet at 7:00 p.m. on the
 4th Tuesday of the month at St. Timothy's
Episcopal Church located at 8101 Beechmont

7:00 p.m. on the 1st Monday of the month (unless it is a
legal holiday, then it is the 2nd Monday) at Mercy-
Franciscan Terrace located at 80 Compton Road.

Parents of Murdered Children Support Group meets
at 7:00 p.m. on the 4th Thursday of the month in
