State Operations Council

The State Operations Council (SOC) serves as an advisory group to the MADD West Virginia office and provides guidance and assistance with program development, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, budgeting, victim services, legislative policy and other MADD operational matters.  The SOC works with the state staff to broaden MADD’s programs and funding base.

Working in cooperation with the state director, the SOC develops and implements a strategic plan to reflect goals and objectives for the coming year, in line with national strategic policies.  The SOC also seeks ways to promote the mission of MADD to persons in communities within the state not presently being served by a MADD entity.

The SOC conducts quarterly meetings.  Members are unpaid volunteers, representing diverse backgrounds and interest areas.  We are seeking to expand our present SOC from ten to a total of twelve to fourteen members.  If you are interested in serving on the SOC, and you can commit to at least a year of part-time volunteer service, please contact MADD West Virginia at 1-800-776-0635 or 304-776-0222 .
