Report to the Nation


In November 2006, in response to the more than 13,000 people who were being killed each year in drunk driving crashes, MADD launched the Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving®.  The Campaign is a blueprint for the nation to eliminate drunk driving.

MADD’s annual Report to the Nation provides an overview of legislative accomplishments, highlights state-by-state drunk driving reform, and provides a glimpse of what is on the horizon for the year.

Report to the Nation 2015

Eight years after the launch of the campaign to eliminate drunk driving, tremendous progress has been made. MADD continues to build upon its successes in the fight against drunk driving. However, there is still much work to be done.

On the fifth anniversary of the Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving, we released a Report to the Nation, which rates each state on its progress toward eliminating drunk driving.
