In 1981 the MADD Louisville-Metro Chapter was formed--the first chapter in Kentucky. Currently the MADD Kentucky State Office is located in Frankfort, Kentucky, and employs a full-time State Executive Director; two Victim Advocates, funded by a VOCA (Victim of Crime Act ) grant through the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet; a Youth Program Coordinator, funded by a Governor's Highway Safety Program grant; a Court Monitoring Prorgram Coordinator, also funded by a Governor's Highway Safety Program grant, and an Office Manager.

All other manpower utilized to carry out the mission of MADD in Kentucky is derived from the efforts and dedication of our volunteers. Currently the MADD KY organization has a strong presence across the Commonwealth. Hundreds of volunteers and supporters are working tirelessly toward our mission to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking. If you would like to find out more about MADD KY you may contact the state office at 1-800-944-6233.
