Many victims of impaired driving crashes have had their lives turned upside down and they often need support. That is why MADD offers free direct victim services to those dealing with the aftermath of a crash. Below are links to almost EVERY victim services resource & information that are specific to GEORGIA. General victim issues on grief and injury can be obtained by clicking on the VICTIM SERVICES link. There is a lot of information on this page so please make sure you scroll all the way down.
Free Victim Services Provided in Georgia:
•Offering emotional support and provide information by phone, email or in person
•Provides a wide selection of free literature, available in English and Spanish for victims/survivors MADD Victim Services Online Brochures
•Assist victims in obtaining and completing an application for Crime Victims Compensation
•Assistance in obtaining crash reports and/or the offenders driving record
•Assist in understanding the various laws related to drunk driving laws and victim rights in Georgia
•Referrals to civil attorneys specializing in wrongful death and personal injury cases
•Assistance with preparation of a Victim Impact Statement to present at the sentencing of the offender
•Assist in preparing statements for parole review hearings
