2014 "Tree of Life" Ceremony and Candlelight Vigil

On Friday, December 5, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) partnered with Governor's Highway Safety Program to host the annual "Tree of Life" and Candlelight Vigil in memory of the 1,278 lives lost on North Carolina's highways last year.  The "Tree of Life" will remain on display at the State Capitol through January 4, 2015 and is adorned with 378 red lights for those lives lost due to alcohol related crashes.  Click here to view photos from this beautiful event.
