Today, we can see a future without drunk driving, but we need your help to get there. Please join us in the fight by pledging to support the Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving.
Wisconsin is the only state in the nation where a first drunk driving offense is not a crime; rather its just a traffic ticket. In 2009, the state made improvements to their DUI law by requiring ignition interlocks for first-time convicted drunk drivers with a BAC of .15 or greater. MADD calls on legislators to get tough on drunk driving and pass laws to require ignition interlocks for all convicted drunk drivers, legalize sobriety checkpoints, and to make a first offense a misdemeanor.
