As the National Presenting Sponsor of MADD’s Power of Parents; It’s Your Influence program, Nationwide Insurance knows that when parents and kids are better connected, kids are less likely to drink or use other drugs. The Power of Parents, It’s Your Influence® is MADD’s first-ever, year-round initiative to educate high school parents about the implications of and solutions to underage drinking. This program is built on a community-based educational initiative that has been scientifically shown to reduce drinking and binge drinking among young people through education of their parents.

Additional information can be found at The Power of Parents, It’s Your Influence, which includes straightforward information for parents about scientifically proven ways to lower their children’s risk and to make their communities safer. There, you can sign up for a parent workshop, access valuable resources and discover the many ways you can support others. You can also visit the Nationwide SmartRide site to learn how Nationwide is dedicated to helping keep teens safe.

More recently, Nationwide has partnered with MADD to offer exclusive friend and supporter- only discounts. Learn more about these program benefits!

Nationwide Insurance joined MADD as a sponsor in 2003 and has also supported other multi-faceted educational and awareness programs such as diversity outreach, public policy institutes, our bi-monthly MADDvocate magazine, Support 21 coalition and the Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving.
