Location: Irving, Texas


Business Systems Analyst is responsible for using their knowledge of software programs and business strategies to help companies maximize productivity and communication. Their duties include talking with management and end-users to determine their needs, coordinating with IT and Finance team to create or update software based on those needs, and training company employees on how to use the software effectively in their daily jobs.  This role will serve as a systems integration analyst for all core Finance applications and CRM applications.

Provides operational and day-to-day support for assigned operating systems and assists in implementing enterprise systems to address business needs.  Works with and supports our Cloud Systems Administrators, Finance, and Business stakeholders to develop solutions to improve system processes and ensure data integrity between the core applications.  Assignments for this role include both routine and non-routine work.  Demonstrates application, business, and technology knowledge or similar related experience.

Foster a culture of philanthropy within MADD. Assure that the organization’s corporate culture, systems, and procedures support the goals and objectives of MADD. Lead staff and volunteers to institutionalize philanthropy within the organization.


  1. Supporting Intacct Financials, Adaptive Budgeting, Concur, and Salesforce business integration functions.
  2. Identify and solve potential control deficiencies and work to solve existing/known control deficiencies.
  3. Daily cloud system support and quality assurance, including Salesforce operational tasks (e.g., troubleshooting issues, running reports, managing data integrations).
  4. Business Systems Analysts will use skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving to overcome organizational challenges.
  5. Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards to support leadership.
  6. Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge. Optimize our applications and maximize business processes.
  7. Improve training and operational procedures within a business to increase efficiency and productivity.
  8. Work directly with internal clients to understand the individual needs of the business unit.
  9. Create and present reports to management to support recommendations.
  10. Oversee implementation projects from beginning to completion.
  11. Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights.
  12. Monitor and improve data quality, perform data imports, and provide ongoing data cleanup, auditing, and maintenance.
  13. Provide training, guidance, and continuous support to staff by conducting training and creating user documentation resources for distribution. Ensure most current versions are available to staff when processes evolve, or new features are added.
  14. Support staff and leadership with ongoing automation and improvements of business processes.
  15. Work in JIRA and set/meet weekly goals and objectives.
  16. Performs business systems analysis for small to large projects.
  17. Analyzes end-user issues and recommends fixes or improvements.
  18. Will take guidance from other senior team members.
  19. May work with outside vendors; vendor contact limited to tactical implementation.
  20. Maintains user/external group access policies for all assigned systems.
  21. No Direct Reports.
  22. No Budget/Fiscal responsibilities.
  23. Performs other duties as assigned.


  1. 4+ years’ direct/relevant experience as a business analyst or project manager, preferably supporting a SaaS business model.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred in IT or related field.
  3. Strong understanding of overall financial operations and backoff systems/platforms.
  4. Strong data management and analytical skills.
  5. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a high-volume environment.
  6. Demonstrated understanding and non-profit experience of enterprise applications preferred, including Intacct, Adaptive, Workday, Concur, Salesforce, Donor Drive, WordPress, JIRA Service Desk and Engaging Networks.
  7. Application/technology experience or similar related training. Solid knowledge of configurations of applications on the Salesforce platform.
  8. Understanding of how software functions/systems are related to business needs.
  9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and convey thoughts clearly, logically, and concisely both orally and in writing, using appropriate grammar and command of the English language. Clear communication of technical issues to non-technical people.
  10. Must be able to work on a timetable, meet deadlines, follow instructions, and accept directions on given assignments.
  11. Ability to set priorities, multi-task, and complete numerous projects simultaneously, meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  12. Strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and execute in a high-volume environment.
  13. On-call availability for emergencies via company cell phone.
  14. Must have an exceptional internal and external customer service orientation.
  15. A strong work ethic, sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to think independently.
  16. Must have working knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  17. Ability to maintain social, ethical, and organizational standards in job related activities, at work and in the community.

Typical Physical and Mental Demands

This position requires working in an office setting and is generally considered sedentary, although this position may require long hours, handling conflicts and making decisions under pressure.  This position may require you to: be in a stationary position for extended periods; move or traverse in a space for short periods; occasionally transport items with a maximum weight of 25 pounds (such as boxes); communicate with other individuals; and perceive and exchange information. The noise level is from quiet to moderate.  This position requires the ability to operate a computer and other office machines such as fax, calculator, and telephone.  This position must be able to maintain confidentiality.  This position may require a valid State Driver’s License and proof of insurance because the individual may be required to drive to alternate locations away from the office.  Critical thinking, active learning, listening, writing, speaking, negotiating, persuasion, judgment, and the ability to work under pressure may be mandatory for this position.

Salary $80,000-$100,000 depending on experience.
