Why We Walk…Jeffrey Dziob

Jeffrey Dziob was an all around good guy, anyone who knew him would agree. He was a wonderful father, son, husband, brother, and friend. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his kids, and had a strong network of friends that had become an extension of family to him. A quote from the movie, It’s A Wonderful Life rings true, “Strange, isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. When he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he?”.

On the morning of December 27th, 2009 Jeffrey was struck and killed when a drunk driver recklessly drove through the garage of his family home.

Jeff’s death permanently changed the lives of those who knew and loved him, he is missing from moments and milestones with us on Earth. Although he may not be here to physically partake in the memories we make moving forward, we hope to create positivity in the wake of tragedy, and honor his life in every way possible.

We are walking, because no family should have to endure this type of loss again.

We are walking to raise awareness.

We are walking to enjoy spending time with one another.

We are walking because we are grateful for the opportunity to honor life.

We are walking for Jeff.

The Hartford 2020 Walk Like MADD is dedicated in memory of Jeffrey Dziob.
