(Atlanta, GA) – On Tuesday, March 5, 2019 MOD Pizza’s Decatur location launched the Kennedy pizza – an “impact pizza” that will support Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). The Kennedy pizza is named after Kennedy Segars, an adored team member at MOD Pizza’s Decatur location who was tragically killed by a drunk driver in October 2018. One dollar from each Kennedy pizza sold will be donated to MADD.

MOD Pizza hosted a community kick off event for the Kennedy pizza on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at its Decatur location. Representatives from Southern Pie, LLC (the MOD Pizza franchisee in Georgia), MADD Georgia, Decatur area officials, and Kennedy’s family hosted the event to launch the pizza named in Kennedy’s honor. The Kennedy pizza features red sauce, spicy chicken sausage, green bell peppers, roasted red peppers, shredded mozzarella and fresh chopped basil.

As part of the event, Kennedy’s photo was unveiled on MOD Pizza’s Wall of Fame in its Decatur location.

“Kennedy was a beloved member of our Decatur MOD Squad, who made an impact on everyone who met her, ” state Kimberly Hayden, owner of Southern Pie, LLC. “We hope the Kennedy pizza will not only help to celebrate Kennedy’s life, but also bring awareness to an issue that effects all of our communities.”
