Take Action – Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania passed a law in 2016 that requires ignition interlocks for all drunk drivers with a blood alcohol concentration of .10 and above. This was a significant step for Pennsylvania that will increase the use of ignition interlocks. MADD will continue to work with Pennsylvania to enact administrative license revocations for offenders at .08 BAC and above and to pass an all-offender ignition interlock law. Pennsylvania could also improve its drunk driving laws by making it a felony offense to drive drunk with a child passenger.
