I light this candle in memory of my sister, Amanda Lane Harman. Amanda was a freshman in the conservatory of music at the University of Missouri, Kansas City at the time of her death. She was on the way to visit a friend when she was involved in a head-on crash on I-35. The driver of the truck that hit her had a blood alcohol level approximately three times the legal limit and was driving north-bound in the south-bound lanes of the interstate. Amanda was a talented, vivacious, and loving young woman who’s light was extinguished too soon. I am lighting this candle to honor and remember my sister and to help me teach my two young daughters about their aunt that they never got to meet. Amanda Lane Harman – August 2, 1982 – March 26, 2002. RIP Homie, I love you and miss you everyday!
