My Name Is…Diana David

I am a victim of a drunk driving crash that occurred in 2001. The effects of that crash left me broken physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. I was a preschool teacher, a wife, a mom of 2 teenage children and a very outgoing person before my crash. It took everything I had left to get up and face each day. The women who hit me had a BAC of .28 and had her child in the car with her. What a sad, sad story. Lives changed forever. I will NEVER forget that night. If I didn’t have the support and encouragement from MADD I wouldn’t be where I am today. I spent years in court and years suffering in so many ways. I am blessed to have the support and love of family and friends. Once I began to heal I shared my story with first time offenders who could see what can happen to an innocent person who happened to be driving when they chose to drive irresponsibly. During this week please share your stories as I have. If you can impact just ONE person it can make the difference in another innocent person’s life. Together we can try to change a little piece of the world….God Bless!
