My Name Is…Todd Levin and Raylynn Healy

My youngest son Todd Levin and my future daughter-law Raylynn Healy were killed by a drunk driver in 2006. Todd was the driver and Raylynn was the passenger. Todd and Raylynn were so happy because Todd proposed marriage and Raylynn was introducing Todd to her brother to receive his blessing. It was a joyous occasion for all . There was no alcohol at the restaurant at the celebration. On their way home Todd and Raylynn were t-boned by a drunk driver at Sheppard and Westheimer going 85 miles an hour. The speed limit was 35 miles an hour .The road is very windy , so Todd was driving under the speed limit down Sheppard. Todd had a green light so he proceeded through the intersection, but the driver was was so intoxicated he ran the red light and literally drove through my son’s car. Todd had trauma to the head and his chest was crushed. His heart ruptured due to the force of impact. The first responders tried to revive him, but it was too late. Raylynn was very badly hurt, and they rushed her to Ben Taub, but she died on the way. They were a victim of a drunk driver whose blood level was twice the legal limit of .08.
Thank you for listening to my story. Please remember to #savealife.
