My 19 year old daughter Kassidy, her 20 year old boyfriend Will, and their 12 day old daughter Kimberlynn (my granddaughter) were killed by a drugged driver on 10/12/15. The driver had an extensive criminal history involving arrests nearly every year since 1998, and never should have been behind the wheel of a vehicle. Kassidy left behind a 3 year old son who my husband and I currently raise. He is 6 years old now. His entire immediate family robbed from him that night. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about them. I love them with all my heart and soul, and miss them every second of every day. Drugged driving is 100% preventable – and I will continue to fight for them until my dying day.

I am the founder of My organization educates the public about addiction from a different perspective. My website tells my story and provides resources for victims, their families, as well as help for addicts. I travel and speak, sharing my story in hopes of preventing another family from having to suffer such horrific tragedy. I pray that one day drugged driving will cease to exist. Until then, I will continue sharing my story and working with state & federal legislators to create stiffer laws against drugged drivers. Too many innocent lives are lost every year at the hands of drugged drivers and this must stop.
