“MADD is appalled that this public figure has had the opportunity to allegedly drive drunk on these three separate occasions. While we are grateful she hurt no one in any of these instances, something must be done to keep her from hurting herself and others. We demand that the courts hold her fully accountable, and that the Legislature pass a law requiring ignition interlocks for all offenders after the first offense. Ignition interlocks are proven to reduce repeat offenses by preventing a vehicle from starting if the driver is drunk.”
