DALLAS – Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) applauds Uber for the transparency shown in its new safety report. Rideshare provides a convenient, reliable transportation option for people to plan ahead if they are going to consume alcohol. With the recent National Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) preliminary data that estimated more than 12,000 people were killed in alcohol-related crashes last year, safe alternatives to prevent impaired driving are more important than ever.
