Weston, FL – May 17, 2018: Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Florida (MADD Florida) announces their state-wide annual Law Enforcement Recognition Ceremony and Training Symposium set for July 27th and 28th at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.

In preparation for the Recognition Ceremony, MADD Florida opened nominations on May 14th. Nomination categories are available for law enforcement individuals and agencies as well as first responders, breath alcohol technicians, prosecutors and underage drinking prevention individuals and organizations.  The nomination form can be viewed at madd.org/FLnominate.

“Every year, our state-wide nominations recognize more than 350 heroes in Florida who are making our community safe from drunk, drugged and substance-impaired driving,” states Florida Executive Director, David Pinsker.

The nominations culminate with a Recognition Ceremony and Dinner in which all nominees are acknowledged and top honorees in each nomination category are named.

MADD Florida continues to bring awareness and advocates to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support victims of these 100% preventable crimes and prevent underage drinking.  MADD’s continued education on the dangers of impaired driving and its ability to facilitate events that are family-friendly and focused on this public health issue are the reasons MADD is the largest non-profit working to guard families from drunk and drugged driving as well as underage drinking.
