A-BUDGET TOWING GETS AN A+ FOR SAFE ROADS
TOWING THE LINE FOR MADD SWFL

Fort Myers, FL | September 11, 2018: The Southwest Florida business community is gearing up in unique ways for Walk Like MADD & 5K.  One tow truck company has an exceptional way of showing their support.

Local business owners of A-Budget Towing LLC, Mark and Andrea Taylor, have teamed up with MADD to build awareness on Southwest Florida roads by customizing one of their tow trucks.  The community

-minded company is also the Official Tow Company and Contributing Partner of the popular Walk and 5K which ends at home plate of the Boston Red Sox spring training field.

“We are a local business that cares about safe roads in our community.  It was important to be part of this event,” states Mr. and Mrs. Taylor.  Mr. and Mrs. Taylor are keenly aware of the dangers of drinking and driving after Mr. Taylor was hit and injured by a drunk driver in 2006.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving of Southwest Florida (MADD SWFL) invites the Southwest Florida community to register for their annual USA Track and Field certified 5K and family-fun event at www.walklikemadd.org/southwestfl.

MADD Southwest Florida’s Walk Like MADD features a one-mile walk and five-kilometer USATF certified run ending on the home plate at jetBlue Park at Fenway South in Fort Myers.  After the walk and run, the event has family and pet friendly activities as well as music and food from local celebrity chefs and restaurants.  Registration fees and other contributions directly benefit victims and survivors of drunk, drugged and substance-impaired driving crashes as well as supports MADD SWFL’s free educational programs

.

Established in 2013, MADD SWFL provides free programs to over 15,000 people annually in the Southwest Florida community through its underage drinking prevention initiatives, its Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving, Tie One On For Safety campaign and DUI offender education.  In addition, the local MADD chapter supports an annual law enforcement recognition program and free DUI training for over 300 local law enforcement professionals.  Most importantly, MADD SWFL supports victims and survivors of drunk, drugged and substance-impaired driving crashes; providing over 1,500 free services annually as well as facilitating grief and community groups as well as a tribute event.
