LAW ENFORCEMENT AWARDS:

200 Platinum Enforcement Award –  This award is given to law enforcement who have made 200 or more DUI arrests from January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, with at least a 75% current conviction rate.

100 Gold Enforcement Award – This award is given to law enforcement who have made 100 or more DUI arrests from January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, with at least a 75% current conviction rate.

50 Silver Enforcement Award – This award is given to law enforcement who have made 50 or more DUI arrests from January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, with at least a 75% current conviction rate.

25 Bronze Enforcement Award – This award is given to law enforcement who have made 25 or more DUI arrests from January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, with at least a 75% current conviction rate.

Top DUI Enforcer for a Sheriff’s Office Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is given to the deputy from a Sheriff’s Office with the highest number of DUI arrests made during the January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, award period.  Must have a current conviction rate of at least 75%.  No application required: recipient will be determined from DUI Enforcement Award Submissions.

Top DUI Enforcer for a Police Department Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is given to the officer from a Police Department with the highest number of DUI arrests made during the January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, award period.  Must have a current conviction rate of at least 75%. No application required: recipient will be determined from DUI Enforcement Award Submissions.

Top DUI Enforcer for the Highway Patrol Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is given to the trooper from the Tennessee Highway Patrol with the highest number of DUI arrests made during the January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, award period.  Must have a current conviction rate of at least 75%. No application required: recipient will be determined from DUI Enforcement Award Submissions.

Outstanding Service Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is given to an officer or supervisor that excels in exhibiting compassion to impaired driving victims, partnering with youth on underage drinking prevention, or taking a proactive approach by implementing programs or enforcement campaigns to reduce impaired driving injuries and fatalities in their jurisdiction. Award is for service during calendar year 2018.

Outstanding Department Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is given to a department/agency that excels in exhibiting compassion to impaired driving victims, partnering with youth on underage drinking prevention, or taking a proactive approach by implementing programs or enforcement campaigns to reduce impaired driving injuries and fatalities in their jurisdiction. Award is for service during calendar year 2018.

COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTEER AWARDS:

First Responders Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is given to a first responder who has excelled in exhibiting compassion or assistance to impaired driving victims in the immediate aftermath of a crash and/or in continued contact afterwards.  May include fire department, emergency medical, law enforcement, or hospital staff.  This is the first year for MADD Tennessee to present this award.  Award may be given for service from any crash date.

Tennessee Excellence Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is given to the top regional prosecutor for outstanding commitment to enforcing DUI law and for supporting local volunteers’ victim-advocacy efforts.  Award is for service during calendar year 2018.

Tennessee Power of You(th) Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is given to a student that has excelled in his/ her efforts to prevent underage drinking. Award is for activity during calendar year 2018.

Tennessee Power of Community Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is given to a school or organization that has excelled in their efforts to prevent underage drinking. Award is for activity during calendar year 2018.

Tennessee Golden Achievement Award (1 available per region- East, Middle & West) – This award is presented to a MADD volunteer who has excelled in promoting the mission of MADD. Award is for activity during calendar year 2018.

Director’s Choice Award (1 available) – This award is presented to an individual or an organization who has excelled in promoting the mission of MADD. Award is for activity during calendar year 2018.  Recipient is chosen by MADD State Program Director.

MADD Employee of the Year Award (1 available) – This award is presented to a MADD employee who has excelled in promoting the mission of MADD and/or serving MADD’s constituents. Award is for activity during calendar year 2018.
