Kathy Kilgore Beeler, Tennessee State Advisory Board

Kathy Kilgore Beeler has a BBA in Information Systems Management from Belmont University.  But she now volunteers full time for organizations like MADD, Drug Free Dickson, Nashville Prevention Partnership, and Tennessee Voices for Victims because everything changed for Kathy in June 2011.

Her only son Cole was 19 years-old when he got into a vehicle with a drunk driver on June 4, 2011.   The driver crashed and the vehicle went up in flames.  Cole was burned on 95% of his body and died the next day.  A few months later, Kathy contacted MADD and now tells her son’s story at Victim Impact Panels, high schools, universities, and prisons to share Cole’s legacy.  She was awarded the MADD Difference Maker Award for Middle Tennessee in 2015.

She has been married to Henry Beeler since 2007.  She says, “I am a mother, daughter, sister, aunt.  I love my family, friends, and my Lord and Savior.”  In her spare time, she enjoys painting, gardening, reading, and writing.

She currently serves as the MADD Tennessee State Advisory Board Victim Impact Panel Chair and is a member of the Tennessee State Advisory Board Victims Services Committee.
