Victim Impact Panel (VIP) classes
MADD Tennessee will be rescheduling all Victim Impact Panels (VIPs) previously scheduled for March 16 through May 1, 2020. If you are currently registered for any panels occurring during this time period, please check your email for updated class schedules and instructions regarding your registration being moved to a rescheduled date. The Middle Tennessee Monthly Victim/Survivor Support Group will meet online, rather than in-person, beginning in April 2020 until further notice. Our Online Monthly Victim/Survivor Support Groups for both the Eastern and Western halves of the state will continue as normal. MADD Tennessee is currently offering several online options for participation in our Power of You(th) program for both Middle and High School students, as well as, our Power of Parents program. We will conduct an Online Power of You(th) Zoom Presentation on Thursday, March 30, from 1pm -2pm CT. Courts may be seeing limited cases right now, but training for our court monitoring volunteers is in full swing! This opportunity is perfect for college students with majors in criminal justice, human services, psychology, social services, and pre-law. The Tennessee General Assembly is currently in adjournment until June 1, 2020. MADD Tennessee was following several bills being reviewed for the 2020 session. Once legislators resume activity, we will provide updates as to how the public can help support our continued legislative efforts in Tennessee.
