This is a list of all changes to MADD Tennessee VIP classes originally scheduled for August 1 – August 31. (updated July 8, 2020)  Please be understanding that due to the evolving situation regarding COVID-19, we recommend you check our website on the day of your class, to verify if there have been changes made. Alternate Option:  An ONLINE Victim Impact Panel Class is also available.  Click here for more information.  (A Spanish version of the Online Victim Impact Panel is also available.  Click here for more information regarding the Spanish version. )  Note:  If you are currently pre-registered for an in-person Victim Impact Panel (VIP) class and would like to apply the fees you already paid for your in-person registration to registration for an Online VIP class, please email us at tn.state@madd.org.

  • Cookeville/ Putnam County  8/1/20: This panel has been postponed until the next regularly scheduled class on October 3, 2020.  All pre-registered attendees who were already scheduled to attend the August 1 class will be emailed and automatically moved to the panel on October 3. Location and times remain the same.  Judge Jonathon Lee Young has confirmed MADD Online Victim Impact Panels will also be accepted.
  • Knoxville, TN 8/3/20:   This panel has been postponed until the next regularly scheduled class on September 14, 2020. All pre-registered attendees who were already scheduled to attend the August 3 class will be emailed and automatically moved to the panel on September 14. Location and times remain the same. General District Attorney Charme Allen has confirmed MADD Online Victim Impact Panels will also be accepted.
  • Sevierville, TN 8/5/20:   This panel has been rescheduled until September 15 at 6pm. All pre-registered attendees who were already scheduled to attend the August 5 class will be emailed and automatically moved to the panel on September 15.  Location and times remain the same. A September 15 class at 3pm is also now available at this location.  If you are already pre-registered and would prefer to attend the 3pm class instead of the 6pm class on September 15, please email us at tn.state@madd.org. A maximum of 30 attendees will be allowed at these classes so you must notify us, in advance, if you prefer the 3pm option. Please be advised that to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees, volunteers, and staff, you will be asked a series of COVID-19 health screening questions before entry and your temperature will be screened with a touchless thermometer.  In compliance with CDC Guidelines, all attendees must also wear a mask.   In addition, we ask that all attendees click here to pre-register and pre-pay for their in-person VIP class in order to minimize time/contact at lines for the check-in desk.  (If you have already pre-registered and pre-paid for the in-person VIP class on our website, you do not need to do so again.) Our website will accept debit cards, credit cards, or prepaid debit cards for payment and pre-registration.  If you wait to register on the night of your class, we may be limited by capacity and we can only accept payment by money order which must be filled out in advance.   If you are unable to comply with any of these requirements, an Online MADD Victim Impact Panel class is available.   General District Attorney James B. Dunn has confirmed MADD Online Victim Impact Panels will also be accepted. Please check with your probation office to confirm they will also accept a MADD Online Victim Impact Panel.   • Cleveland, TN 8/17/2020:   This panel has been postponed until the next regularly scheduled class on November 2, 2020.   • Claiborne County, TN 8/18/2020:   This panel has been postponed until the next regularly scheduled class on November 17, 2020. All pre-registered attendees who were already scheduled to attend the August 17 class will be emailed and automatically moved to the panel on November 17.  Location and times remain the same. General District Attorney Jared Effler has confirmed MADD Online Victim Impact Panels will also be accepted.
  • Jackson, TN 7/16/20: This panel is currently scheduled to be open. However, we recommend you check our website on the day of your class to verify no changes have been made.  Please be advised that to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees, volunteers, and staff, you will be asked a series of COVID-19 health screening questions before entry and your temperature will be screened with a touchless thermometer.  The site also requires that all attendees must wear a mask and gloves. In addition, attendance will be limited to a maximum of 50 participants.   We highly recommend that all attendees click here to pre-register and pre-pay for their in-person VIP class in order to guarantee their spot and minimize time/contact at lines for the check-in desk.  (If you have already pre-registered and pre-paid for the in-person VIP class on our website, you do not need to do so again.)  Our website will accept debit cards, credit cards, or prepaid debit cards for payment and pre-registration.  If you wait to register on the night of your class, we may be limited by capacity and we can only accept payment by money order which must be filled out in advance.  If you are unable to comply with any of these requirements, an Online MADD Victim Impact Panel class is available.  General District Attorney Jody Pickens has confirmed MADD Online Victim Impact Panels will be accepted.

All pre-registered attendees who were already scheduled to attend the July 21 class will be emailed and automatically moved to the panel on October 20. Location and times remain the same. Maximum capacity for class is 16 participants.  If you have not already done so, we highly recommend you pre-register at www.maddvip.org if you wish to attend the October 20 class.   • Alcoa, TN 7/27/2020: This panel has been rescheduled until September 16 at 6pmAll pre-registered attendees who were already scheduled to attend the July 27 class will be emailed and automatically moved to the panel on September 16.  Location and times remain the same. A September 16 class at 3pm is also now available at this location.  If you are already pre-registered and would prefer to attend the 3pm class instead of the 6pm class on September 16, please email us at tn.state@madd.org.
