Volunteer of the Week: Aliyah Hitchcock

MADD would not be where it is today without the determination of our volunteers. It takes everyone to eliminate drunk and drugged driving. This month, we honor you, our amazing volunteers.

This week, we are recognizing Aliyah Hitchcock. She lost her father in a drugged driving crash in 2016. As her family was processing their grief over the tragedy, Aliyah came to MADD. She immediately got involved with Walk Like MADD® events. After the court case was complete, she became a speaker at Victim Impact Panels, schools, events, etc.

She is now a member of MADD Southeast Texas’ Advisory Board, the Victim Services Chairperson, and the Walk Like MADD Mentor Chair.

Volunteers like Aliyah are rare. She has become involved in every aspect of the MADD organization and is always asking to do more. On April 9th, she was awarded the MADD Spirit Award at the Southeast Texas Law Enforcement Recognition event. We are privileged to work with her and are very grateful for all of her commitment.
