Volunteer of the Week: Sarah Conley

MADD would not be where it is today without the determination of our volunteers. It takes everyone to eliminate drunk and drugged driving. This month, we honor you, our amazing volunteers.

This week, we honor Sarah Conley. Sarah has always had a heart for helping people. She volunteered with many other organizations over the years but has always had an interest in MADD’s mission. Sarah started as an eager volunteer for the Oregon state office in December 2018 after her mother’s co-worker lost her son in a drunk driving crash. She reached out to the family and began providing them emotional support. Seeing the devastation first-hand drove her desire to join MADD in the fight against impaired driving.

She assisted with gathering donations for a silent auction held during the Law Enforcement Recognition event (LER). She single-handedly raised over $12,000 in retail value for the items donated.

As the newest State Advisory Board member, she has begun reaching out to local business to sponsor or participate in Eugene, Oregon’s first Walk Like MADD® on June 15th. She has also scheduled an additional fundraiser to be held in conjunction with the walk. She has gone above and beyond for a new volunteer and we appreciate her efforts tremendously!
