Congratulations to all 2018 Law Enforcement Award Winners in Virginia!

Each year, about 300 law enforcement officers around the state are selected by their departments to receive MADD Law Enforcement Awards for their drunk/drugged driving enforcement and/or education efforts in their communities. The last Law Enforcement Awards ceremony was held in Farmville on December 12th.  A list of all winners for 2018 in Virginia can be seen here. Pictures from all the ceremonies are on our MADD VA Flickr page.

Our annual Tie One On For Safety media event was held in November to remind Virginians to drive safe, sober, and buckled up over the holiday season. See local media coverage, pictures, and a Facebook Live video of the complete event.

Glen Cove Elementary School in Roanoke held a Red Ribbon Week Walk and raised over $1200 for MADD VA!

Thirty-eight police officers, chaplains, and corrections officers attended a death notification training held December 13th  in Bristol,  Virginia. For more information on death notification training, contact lara.bradshaw@madd.org or emily.barker@madd.org.
